Lorenzo Giovenga

I was born in Rome at the end of the 1980s, just a few weeks before the fall of the Berlin Wall. I grew up with the Commodore 64, a painfully slow 56k connection, Dawson's Creek after lunch and Home Alone every Christmas. One day someone gave me a MiniDV camcorder.

In 2019 I directed the first transmedia project produced by Rai Cinema: it premiered at the 76th Venice Film Festival, where I shared the red carpet with the incredible Terry Gilliam. I celebrated my 30th birthday in a minivan in Iceland, but that's another story…
